Initially, I began this ongoing series to explore the idea of home through photography, in light of moving to school and traveling more often. But it’s managed to become more of the reverse: an exploration of how my experience with photography has changed through the lens of where I am (both geographically and in life) and who I am with. Most importantly, working on this series is teaching me that the ways in which I tried to pick up where I’d left off as an artist were doing me more harm than good, and I felt stronger about myself and my work when I turned around and started anew. ♦
