The Land of 10,000 Lakes

Deep shades of blue
saturate the sky
And fill the sea
Together, they greet me
With warm smiles
From the sun
I walk down
Paths of gravel
In the abandoned
I’m brought to peace
By forests of evergreen
I take a seat
To admire what I see
As we look out
From the vessel
Out on the water
Where we rest
I remember
Where my humanity lies
That nature
Is not just a part of me
but is my family
The moment I depart
My native niche
I still am flooded
With lakes of love
In my heart
