Cammy

Last Saturday I had my senior prom. It was in one of those top-box rooms in a stadium at UC Berkeley. They had it there last year. I’ve come to learn that the best thing about prom is seeing how nice everyone looks all dressed up. I think it’s a true reflection of who people are, since fashion is a huge chunk of self-expression. I guess they could also just be getting fashion advice from their parents or something, but I like it better when I imagine that everyone put immaculate effort into their prom outfits. This almost makes seeing everyone take pictures at the rose garden more interesting than the actual event.

I wore really tall heels, which made it hard to get up and down the steps. It also made standing in line for an HOUR for pictures hell for my feet. It’s also because I was totally sober during the entire experience, so I was extra aware of how subpar my experience actually was. That’s pretty harsh, because I had good time. I danced. I ate some surprisingly tasty prime rib. I took more pictures. After prom, we went home and changed, then Jasmine’s new boyfriend took us to hang out with our friends at the lake. ♦
