This was taken the afternoon we arrived in Brigantine, New Jersey, and we were riding around on bikes. Sarah had just learned how to ride a bike that day.
I set an alarm for 5 AM so that we could watch the sunrise on the beach. The house where we stayed was less than a block away, so we ran over in our pajamas. It ended up being spectacularly beautiful.
While exploring the town, we found a short path through tall grass and it lead to this magical little spot.
We had to take off our sneakers to walk through a small marsh, and our feet got super muddy.
We were getting a ton of mosquito bites.
A sunset walk on the beach.
As soon as I saw Sarah standing in front of this neon sign, I had to stop her to take a picture. She looked like a pixie.
These fireworks went off so close to us. and they were so loud that our ears were ringing, but it was such a beautiful sight to see them light up the sky directly above us.
A lovely older couple watching the sunrise by the ocean.
This was right after we watched the sunrise on the beach. We’d eaten breakfast at Wawa, and as we walked along the sidewalk, I had to stop because the scene was completely serene and summery.
Playing with the bright lights from a tourist shop was one highlight of our trip.
A reflection of the sunset in still water. ♦
