Hey, cosmic Rookies! I’m mad excited to be bringing a new, totally unique, super-special format to our horoscopes, starting…right now! Our new resident astrologer, Amelia Quint of The Midheaven, will be bringing us LUNAR FORECASTS, for all of your moon-based intention-setting and goal-manifesting pursuits—plus the same old TEEN TIPZ from me, Dylan, the Tipper to Teenz.

We’re starting it all off with tomorrow’s new moon in Gemini, on June 4. New moons are all about crafting goals and initiating new projects and phases, so our horoscopes and advice bits will be your monthly guides to creating meaningful, powerful beginnings in your life. With that being said, let’s get to it! ’Sup with the moon, Amelia?

Amelia, on June’s new moon trends:

Happy new moon in Gemini! If there’s one thing Gemini loves to do, it’s talk. With tech god Mercury as his patron, this sign adores the instant connection that comes with technology, no matter the medium. Traditionally, Gemini ruled your local community—that is, the people in your village or town—and he’s still associated with short trips. So while this new moon is the perfect excuse to take a road trip or staycation with your coven, consider that the modern equivalent of a village might be closer than you think.

Between Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and the universe knows what else, the community you interact with most might already be within arm’s reach! This new moon’s relationship theme is especially potent because the new moon lands exactly on top of Venus, the love goddess. This doesn’t necessarily have to be a significant other—it could just as easily be the friend with whom you share a 100-day Snapstreak!

Lady Luna also conspires with multiple other planets in what’s called a Grand Mutable Cross, an alignment that’s sure to shake up your life. Mutable vibes move quickly, so whatever happens now could come as a surprise. Stay open to weird possibilities for best results. Do keep in mind that this moon is opposite tough Saturn in Sagittarius, so think about who you want to be in a month, a year, and five years from now. Do the people, places, and things you’re spending your precious energy on align with that vision? If not, it might be time to broaden your horizons. Squares from Jupiter in detail-loving Virgo and Neptune in dreamy Pisces mean that—even with the best intentions—signals could get crossed. Be deliberate about what you say or do online and in-person.
