Cherry blossoms always signal spring for me
Fresh blooms soak up sunshine & parcel it off in rosy droplets
Petals drift off slowly as we peek at the sky, jokes rolling lazily off our tongues
Restlessness fizzles out as April drizzle settles in—
Weary bones sinking thankfully in our seats,
Velvety laughter mingling with the rain doing a drumroll on our car’s tin roof
My turn signal ticking like a clock, while we lose track of time
