Virgo

virgo1Janelle’s horoscope: When people think about Virgo, they generally think of someone shy, meek, and overly organized or critical. We both know that that’s not necessarily true Virgo. This month, there’s a lot more focus on you having a good time and putting yourself first. Yes, it feels good to be of service, especially when it helps other people in some fashion, but the thing is, you also have to serve yourself as well. For the first half of the month, commit yourself to playing more, creating more, going out and enjoying what pleasures and games the world has to offer you.

When the new moon hits on the 8th, think about ways that you might revamp your daily routines, your job, and your skills in a way that fulfills you first and foremost. Mercury and Venus will move into your sixth house of service—on the 13th and 16th respectively—to help you get some ideas going on how to get more pleasure from the work you devote yourself to.

Speaking up for yourself and your passions will be a big part of this year with Mars in Scorpio setting up shop in your third house of communication until summer. Feel free to take action on some of these passions as well, especially if they’re fun to you.

Full moon in Pisces lights up your first house of self along with Jupiter and the North Node. It’s all about YOU, Virgo. Take up some space, fill up the room with your energy, feel more buoyant and confident in your decisions, and check for where you feel fearful about expressing yourself. Allow for free exchange with others so that you can see yourself reflected more clearly.

Dylan’s advice: Virgo! Let’s hang! You’re stereotyped as a goody two-shoes, which is such a flat assumption. February’s the month to debunk that shallow myth and enjoy the fun these next few weeks will bring. Especially if it’s chilly and wintry where you are, it can be the easiest time to hole up and flake out on plans. Make a concerted effort to schedule your festivities and keep to it. You’re bound to be really stoked in the end that you made the effort to go. Fight for your right to party, you know? Don’t blow your whole fun-quota on the notion that February is your one shot all year, though—think of ways to bring fun into your daily life, too. Try making a scheduled dinner date with friends on one school night a month, or going to a show every other weekend. You have the green light to put yourself first this month, and you will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy yourself. Take ’em!
