Gemini

gemini1Janelle’s horoscope: Hey, twins! Happy February! This is a month for you to THINK BIGGER. Look off into the distance: What’s out there waiting for you to explore? The new moon will be granting fresh energy in your ninth house of expansion, daring you to go off on a quest to unknown places.

Geminis are fantastic at gathering information and processing it, but the trick is not getting stuck in ruts with the information that you have amassed. Plus, what good is information if its never put to good use? Pick up a new book, try a new class, take a trip to somewhere new, hang out with some new people who will expose you to fresh ideas.

If you’ve been feeling a little cloudy headed, Gemini, know that things will feel a bit clearer when Mercury moves out of his shadow and into Aquarius on the 13th followed by Venus on the 16th. Both will reinforce the new moon’s call to expand on the way you communicate and how you express love.

Mars in Scorpio running through your sixth house of daily work may bring up irritability with your various responsibilities and your day-to-day tasks. You could use some of the insights gained during the new moon to find new ways to apply your skills that make the everyday more enjoyable and useful to you and those you work with.

The full moon on the 22nd picks up where the new moon left off, but instead directs you to spend more time at home with family. Dig around your mind to see what motivates you to form loving relationships with others.

This is a month for expanding beyond what you already know about yourself to see what can be improved for your benefit, and to the benefit of those who love what you have to share.

Dylan’s advice: You gotta to take yourself on a little TRIP, dude! What I love most about taking a ’cation, whether they’re of the vay or stay varieties, is how it shakes up my view like beads in a kaleidoscope, so I can see new reflections bouncing off the angles of my regular life. It’s not just refreshing, it’s resetting. It makes things sparkle again. You don’t need to leave town to vaycaysh your outlook. If you’re still in school, that can be a challenge, or just impossible. Can you take a vacation from your regular obligations over a weekend and design yourself your own hometown retreat, perhaps with writing assignments and scheduled treats (like a 9 PM brownie sundae hour) and an adventure to the edge of town? Could you hop on a bus with your friend to see a new and unusual sight (check out the Field Trip app, or Atlas Obscura, which map sites with unusual or hidden histories)? If it’s safe and you have permission to do it, could this be the time when you take your first trip alone? Riding a train to a nearby town for a day or visiting a relative solo is a liberating way to see a new place on your own terms. Find a way to break out of the routine and expand what your normal sightline is. It will help you get out of any rut.
