Marley Dias made my heart sing when I read that she started a book drive called #1000BlackGirlBooks because she was “sick of reading about white boys and dogs.” She’s only 11, y’all. An article posted yesterday at People.com said she’s collected 900 books so far. Donations are being accepted through February 11 at GrassROOTS Community Foundation.
