These watercolors were inspired by the idea of moving away from the place you used to call home, which is not only an emotional challenge but a physical one, especially when learning new costumes, habits, and languages. Traveling alone can fill me with a feeling of strangeness, or with dreamlike fear along with I’VE GOT TO PROVE I CAN DO IT feels. I find it peculiar that photos of Tokyo and Mexico City are somehow familiar even though these places are on the other side of the world from me. Perhaps it doesn’t matter where you are—relativity and home are such strange concepts.

Number 4 was very cute with the little blush on her cheek. The glow was fantastic! Here’s to another fabulous year with Rookie!
number 4 and 6 were so cool!!
great work!
These would look so cool on a projector screen! ♥
I love these! I think #4 was my favorite, and I second the projector screen comment.
BTW I’m starting my own magazine and would love it if any Rookies were interested in joining my team. The magazine is going to be an exploration of youth movements. I’m currently looking for all positions including editors, writers, photographers, artists, etc. so please email me for more details (if interested) at:
