I know the feeling Britney. I feel muddled in every aspect sometimes too, but life always returns to normal again. You just have to wait it out.

And Marah, I love the falcon story and the lesson you concluded with. We need to change ourselves, no matter how painful it is, to become better and stronger. And perhaps we’ll enjoy the pain because we know it’s worth it, like Lilly does.

Marah, you are so incredibly resilient and wise. That sounds like such a difficult situation, and it’s awful that you feel you have to stay quiet and not defend yourself in a situation like that out of fear for your safety or your job. That’s an awful circumstance. But you’re so admirable in the way you continue to stand up for yourself and what you believe in while also being so intelligent and wise about it. I hope one day you’re surrounded by beauty and happiness, because you deserve it.

Marah, I am sad that you were punished for sticking up for yourself. It shouldn’t have to be that way, but unfortunately working in retail means having to be nice to people who do not deserve such treatment at all. :(

britney – I can totally relate to what yr going through. I take Prozac…it takes the edge off, but it’s no cure. living w depression is a long + difficult process :( hang in there

Dear Rookie!
I’m a Rookie’s reader from Spain who is really worried about Marah. Since she started to write the diary, I’ve read it every week, but now there are nearly 2 months that she hasn’t written anything and I’m a little bit restless.
Her story made me really angry so I decided to do a school project about the Syrian Civil War and her life. I started investigating the civilians’ situation while I listened to what she said. She touched me as nobody has done before and when she stopped posting I became a little bit anxious. I just would like to know if she’s okay, that’d be really helpful to me.
I’d also like to ask if you know somebody who I can contact to talk about the Syrian Civil War, because I’ve some questions to ask.
I’d do anything to help so if you know something that I can do, let me know.

  Hi, Clara! Marah is OK, she’s been on a break because her internet access is limited and she’s had school exams. GOOD NEWS is that she’s writing a diary entry for next week!
