My brother Aaron is nine years old. He lives all the way in Texas and I’m up in New York City. We are 12 years apart but we share the same initials and are incredibly close.
We worked on this project over the phone from our respective homes, with help from other family members. He sent me his drawings, and I created photos based on them, adding my own interpretations and memories here and there. The result is a tribute to our relationship and all the times we’ve had together. —Allyssa
(All captions by Allyssa.)This is a model of Aaron I made out of of popsicle sticks.
For this one I just replicated exactly a drawing Aaron had made of our family’s house. The face on the angel above it is from a childhood photo of our mom. ♦
Aaron and I made this sticker collage together last year.
Aaron gave me this Uglydoll to take with me when I moved to New York. He has a huge collection of them, and he told me that this one looks like me, haha. It’s one of my most prized possessions.

This is the cutest thing I’ve seen in a really long time! I especially love the picture of your house he drew and you crafted. It’s so cute and personal–he drew it, you made it, and the picture means something to both of you.
I love how each picture has a memory attached to it. So very significant.
