Seriously one of my favorites.
And that’s a big deal, since every Rookie shoot is my favorite <3

i thought #7 and #8 were definitely the creepiest. and i loved the broccoli headband and green hair in #4!
OMG 7 and 8 are TERRIFYING o_0
I love how these aren’t what you would expect them to be. When I first glanced at 7 I though it was a real tongue :) The broccoli and radish crowns are a great idea too!

The broccoli hair band is awesome , it caught my eye right away ;)
Broccoli headband in #4 rocks my world <3
Es muy lindo, me encantan las modelos, lo distintas que son entre si. Esto me pone de buen humor.
This is my favorite album ever!!!
I always knew that broccoli wasnt meant to be eaten! Little did I know that your supposed to wear it! ❤
#4 would actually make me jump up and down if my mum classed that as one of my five a day!
These images are incredible<3
its good to see girls from different ethnicities. Good work rookie:) also i would like to see like a style article on these models clothing….
I’m Christiana and I enjoy words.
occasional concert goer,
quasi-artist, sporadic fanatic
of things, indecisive, unique
specimen of an impressionable
youth with dreams too absurd& improbable. I’m incurably nostalgic
and attempting to find a balance
between passion and practicality. Sometimes I leave strangers notes
in library books. I fall in love with
someone every time I take
public transportation.
<3 your comment, sounds like we have a lot in common!
i replied to something in yesterday’s eye candy, but want to follow up here to add that like most of the photos here, i enjoy these (& am really partial to the potential of a large shirt being the consummate garment on certain days).
trying to make every photo/shoot mean everything to everyone just brings to mind the human being mascot from community.i understand the concerns & dissatisfaction with representation, & am aware of various theoretical issues & terminologies derived from & interpreting very real, very tangible & observable happenings. however, it’s uncomfortable for me to reduce or attempt to alchemize a person &/or someone’s work to a few choice terms, & would not find it positive if someone knew nothing other than an image of me & did so; the original criticism/comment didn’t strike me as constructive or helpful in supporting a community that feels safe for all kinds of people (who don’t have to agree or think the same way).
but the most important thing i want to say is: in the interest of harnessing that positive spirit of dissatisfaction & desire for change, if anyone who feels & has posted likewise, or anyone with general interest wants to collaborate via computer to create some art & photos, i say, “bring the collaborationz, let’s create together.”
if any of y’all want, you can contact me at , and should know that 1) i’m in no way an advanced, highly technically trained photographer who knows the first thing about creative work involving multiple people online, & 2) in no way would point 1 stop me from giving this a try.
♥♥♥
good work, you guys.
Aw thanks Chimdi ♥♥
Oh my gosh Olivia your talent is shocking
Oh sweet jesus #s seven and eight. I was just clocking along, like “ooh that’s pretty” and then BAM heart attack it’s a demon. But super cool. Totally Halloween.
Rookie always knows how to get me into the (insert season/holiday) spirit.

I’m so happy to see Rookie featuring models from different ethnicities, keep up the good work guys!!
what type of camera is used? film, I presume?
these are taken with a canon 5d mark ii. digital ;)
These are so awesomely eerie. What kind of camera did you use? I feel like I accidentally asked this way too many times but YOLO (omg no I’m kidding) (about the YOLO part) (omg)
#7 is really hard to look at for some reason.
Not in a bad way ofc.
Very nicely done, loving the wind effects in the first few pictures.
Seeing all of this Halloween stuff makes me wish we celebrated it here in Australia too. Nonetheless, i love this photoshoot – such a simple yet creative idea and it’s just sooooo awesome. Great work :D
Love these. Especially 3.
