oooooohhhhhh i do love that polaroid, I want one so much, they capture moments perfectly – the little picture prints out 2 seconds later, and you carry around the little tokens of fun :)

Lovely pics! I adore the 60s-esque Mod look meets babydoll outfits!! Plus, I admire the photographs – it’s very vintage, esp. on the last photograph which reminds me of this one still from Sofia Coppola’s Lick the Star ().

  • Maddy November 15th, 2011 9:33 PM

This is probably my favorite so far. But where do you find sun this time of year?!

    • Tavi Gevinson November 15th, 2011 9:35 PM

We took these in LA in the summer!

These clothes remind me of outfits my mom used to dress me in when I was small that were hers when she was small. In a very good way.

Summer’s coming, and I’m definitely ready for it! But these pictures are making me want it now!

I really admire the photo shoots that you guys do! I always do photo shoots with my friends but they don’t compare to Rookie’s photo shoots! These are always an inspiration to me. I was wondering what type of camera you used for this photo shoot? Thank you!

    xoxo Chandler

This is the most amazing thing I’ve seen in a long time.

  • Kaetlebugg November 16th, 2011 6:29 PM

I love these girls, I really do. But can we have at some point in the future something about having short hair? I just feel like Rookie would be a really good “venue” for an article or shoot about girls with short hair. Hair is just such a massive symbol of femininity that having short hair really puts off a lot of people and weirds a lot of people out. Not that I don’t love long hair, I do love it, but show us short-haired girls some love!

    • Petra Collins November 16th, 2011 8:17 PM

hey kaetlebugg – totally agree with you about the short hair – don’t worry more short hair to come –
what about these short haired babes? did you forget about them?

Barettes are the best thing ever. I don’t know why they ever became uncool.

Also, extremely jealous of that pink Polaroid camera.

  • dapfh November 20th, 2011 6:21 AM

Lovely! All these warm colours just make me want to go back to sunshiney-summer so much :)
