we crashed into each other
like waves on the rocks
lingering stares and soft spoken introductions
two prisms
refracting rainbows into the sky
you flooded my senses with soft darkness
liquid twilight dripping from your tongue
when i looked to the night sky i saw your soul
tangled in starlight
i painted you with moonbeams
a celestial reverie
you painted me with pink sunsets
whispered words of gossamer
we kiss and i melt
we kiss and you melt
you say i’m addicting
like sugar
not alcohol
not damaging
cotton candy on your tongue
sticky and saccharine
the sun stays out to watch
but we thrive in moonlight
fireflies glow beneath our feet
as red thread unfurls around us
