Forgive yourself. Just do it, because life is short and you’re too important to go on hating and blaming yourself. Take this as permission to let go and just forgive yourself.

It’s seems that we can forgive others so easily, but when it comes to ourselves we hold these everlasting grudges, which just isn’t healthy or necessary.

Forgiving yourself doesn’t mean forgetting your past or dismissing the mistakes you’ve made. Nor does it mean it’s OK to give in to your faults and ignore your slip-ups. It just means that you accept yourself, warts and all, and you don’t hold yourself to the bad decisions you’ve made.

People cheat, people fail, some people even hurt others for personal gain. Perhaps you’ve sat down and come up with good reasons to forgive them. Now it’s time to forgive yourself, because you’re the most important person in your life. If you’re all you’ve got then live your life every day, and forgive yourself when the sun rises. ♦
