This past weekend, a fire at an Oakland warehouse space tragically took the lives of many local artists and young patrons. The fire has claimed 36 lives so far, and that number is expected to rise as authorities continue to search the building. A relief fund has been created to help the victims and their families. Underground venues in Oakland are a response to the need for safe spaces for trans, queer, and POC folks.
