These photos are of Laurence Philomene, photographer and curator of the art collective the Coven, at her home and studio in Montréal. Laurence’s space has the feeling of a cozy, girly sanctuary. Everywhere you look, there are cute trinkets, toys, and pictures (including graffiti by Billy Starfield) to admire and inspire. The aesthetics and brightly colored walls of her home also reflect her personal photography work, which deals with themes of femininity, identity, softness, and color theory. Let’s take a look around.
