so happy to see your stuff here on the regular!! This is great and quite universal, to some extent. It’s interesting how geography played such a large part in the different expressions of yourself! Do you still feel this way, or have you combined the different aspects of you?

Thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed the piece! I think as I’ve gotten older it’s become a lot easier to accept these different facets of my personality although being adaptable depending on who you’re hanging out with can be a bit of a curse sometimes. Makes you question which of those different versions of yourself you really are. But I guess to some extent it just makes me realise that personality is a very malleable thing and I shouldn’t necessarily fault myself for changing how I behave from time to time, as long as I feel I am being honest with myself and people around me in the way I express myself. Does that make sense?

I am utterly in awe with your words and how you described and interpreted your experience in such way. I have moved over ten times, over three different continents and changed school 13 times, which is something you never get used to. I was always the quiet and shy new girl and before I am even let my other side of spontaneous out, I had to move again. I knew how to blend in but I never felt accepted in the community and I always felt so alone. But then now, I have started feeling thy all those clumsy, introvert self of me in different locations are all part of who I am, and your words have really put my heart at ease. Thank you so much.

Wow, thank you so much. That really means a lot to me, especially coming from someone who has had similar experiences with moving around. I totally know what you mean about being the shy girl and then not having enough time to come out of your shell because another move is so imminent. It’s hard! I think there is something freeing about that too though – knowing that somewhat soon you’re going to leave the place you’re in can also enable you to realise that life is short and you should just be who you want to be. And once you start expressing yourself more honestly, it because easier to do all the time.
