VERANO ’16

This summer was riding our bikes, feeling free.
It was laughing and joking around.
It was being able to socialize without having to feel anxious.
It was cutting toxic people out of my life.

It was some stuff to be proud of.
It was some stuff to regret.

It was wearing his jacket, because I was freezing*.

It was dancing non-stop, despite being cold* and tired.
It was feeling hyped when “Mr. Brightside” and “Take Me Out” came on.

It was eating pizza at 3 AM.
It was bonding over childhood stories.

It was the summer of feeling less alone.

It was turning 18.

It was realizing that I finally loved myself.
It was feeling happy.

*I’m from this small town in the north of Spain; where the summer days are hot (35ºC), and the nights are cold (11ºC).
