The White House announced the first United State of Women—a summit on June 14 to address the challenges facing women in today’s society. For all of us outside Washington D.C., the summit will be live-streamed on their website!

Sunday night, Beyoncé accepted her Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Fashion Icon Award with a beautiful speech about the clothing her mother and grandmother created for her, and the confidence that it afforded her.
