Although the Bring Back Our Girls campaign has gotten media attention since Boko Haram kidnapped 276 girls in April 2014, most of Boko Haram’s continuing atrocities against young girls does not make the news.

The Brooklyn Museum has a new exhibit featuring masks from all over Africa. However, the museum didn’t want to take a run-of-the-mill approach to the way masks are exhibited. The curators tried new installations, to change the way we engage with African art.
