A true maverick in every sense, Erykah Badu will be styling the Pyer Moss show at New York Fashion Week—a collaboration made possible by a shared passion for the #BlackLivesMatter movement. It will be wonderful to see how politics will come to life through fashion.

A country that I am absolutely keen to visit, Senegal, has announced the artists for this year’s Dak’Art Biennial. I realized that I absolutely need more of Nigeria’s Otobong Nkanga’s work in my face because strong women carrying things on their heads is one of my childhood motifs.
I’m so excited to embark on the “14 Day Creative Challenge” from one of my faves, illustrator and creator of the I Love My Hair coloring book, Andrea Pippins. It’s awesome because it relates to whatever creative field you’re in, so I look forward to using it for my writer life. ♦
