Virgo

virgo1Virgos have had a lot happening in their lives since August! There has been a big influx of energy and growth, but it hasn’t always been easy or fun. The eclipse in September stirred a lot up, and perhaps you’ve seen several beginnings and endings in your life. If you have any downtime this month, it’d be good to assess what has gone on. Take stock of what’s transpired since your birthday season.

If you have a job, during the first few weeks of this month, stand up for yourself and be willing to ask for what you’re worth and what you need. That might be tenuous, so do so in a fair and even-keel way, but understand your own worth. Be cognizant of what you’re putting out and what you’re gaining in return, and things will smooth out once the new year gets going.

The new moon on the 11th is happening in your 4th house of home and family—there are some tough lessons you’re learning now around parents, guardians, and authority figures. It’s a powerful time for you to reclaim your own sense of self and authority and space. Where you live and how you live there are both important. This new moon would like you to initiate something in your own physical space, so it’s a nice time to construct an altar in your bedroom, to reorganize, or to have a difficult conversation with a roommate during which you state your needs.

Stay open and willing to have intense healing, therapeutic conversations with anyone you’re in a romantic relationship with, especially around the 19th. There might be something you want to say to someone, or something someone needs to say to you, that helps you to better understand each other.

Mercury, your ruling planet, is making a conjunction to Pluto, so December 19 is a powerful day for gaining a more profound understanding of relationships, or your creative work, and knowing what you’re willing to risk and work for. Later in the month, the full moon on the 25th occurs in your 11th house of friends, groups, and associations. Its theme is connection, so you might find yourself smoothing over family stuff. Overall, it’s a good time to reach out to people you love. If you have a hard time with your family, it’s good to remember they’re not the only people in your life—call your friends!

Dylan’s advice: If you feel the need to take your alone time this month, even with the hectic holidays, take as much as you need. Use some of that time to reinvigorate your living space. Ask your guardian if you can update your wall color, or request that an overly-friendly roommate give you a little more space in the morning. Try making an altar of some kind, or reorganizing your favorite possessions in your bedroom. Small changes can help you immensely, and this way, when you secure time time to yourself, you will feel so good coming into a refreshed space where you can take stock of where you’ve been so far this solar year (since your birthday) and make plans for the year to come.
