Taco in a Bag

Taco in a bag is an easy and innovative way to get your taco fix, to go. You can take this portable delight on the bus, in the car, to your bedroom…anywhere your heart desires. Here’s what you need:

  • A snack-sized bag of corn chips. I used Fritos, but Doritos or other flavored corn chips are just as tasty.
  • The taco fillings of your choice. I had some leftover ground beef, shredded cheese, salsa, and sour cream in the fridge, so those were my ingredients du jour:

OK, now, here’s what you do: Open the bag of corn chips, and dump all your taco fillings on top of the chips inside. (Do not put super-hot contents in the bag, though! If you decide you want meat or a meat substitute, make sure the protein is nice and cooled before you throw it in.) There’s no rhyme or reason to the order you add things—just customize it like the true maven you are. Then, either pinch the top of the bag shut and shake it all up, OR take a spoon and mix the ingredients together. The outcome, from a visual standpoint, is gross:
