My bud Clare was studying abroad in Copenhagen this past semester, so I went to visit her at the end of her term in June. When I got to her place, she had made me a cake and adorned it with Danish flags. A very delicious start to my trip!
Clare during a late-night walk around the city.
Puddle reflections in the street.
Hanging around near a river.
The river.
We made sandwiches in the morning to take with us on our daily adventures.

I would love to visit a city where the sun doesn’t go down completely. It’s like a new meaning of “the city that never sleeps”

It’s not as nice when you want to sleep but can’t cos there’s so much light everywhere.
I had to say that :’D But it is really pretty, to be honest. The downside is that the days during winter are extremely short, in Lapland sun doesn’t show at all. But it can sometimes be cozy too.
I recommend you to visit a city with the midsummer’s sun! And I love that idea of it being a new meaning of “the city that never sleeps”. Makes me appreciate it in a whole new way.

I just came back from Copenhagen and it is one of the most ridiculously, functionally beautiful places I have been. Dammit Scandinavia, so that’s where your fairytale authors came from…

I used to live and study in Denmark for about 3 years, but strangely I rarely made it to CPH. For a country that small, it was an incredibly troublesome and expensive to get to the capital city from the Southern Denmark region where I was based.
Then this year I had a bit more finances and went to Copenhagen quite a few times and absolutely fell in love with the city.
Only to move away from Denmark completely in June *sigh* Denmark is chill, only the best memories from that ‘lil Scandinavian country. As I’m moving now to China, I will dearly miss the solitude, nature and the polite smiling people of Denmark :’)
