These images are part of an ongoing series called “Sister, Sister,” in which I pay tribute to the Morocco-born, U.K.–based photographer Hassan Hajjaj. I love the way his work creates an interplay between North African and Western culture. I tried to achieve a similar effect when making these images, while using clothes and brands that are relevant to my life. Thanks to Lubna and Shaheema for appearing in these photos. Special thanks to Lorde Inc.
