Awkward Love Poem for Non-Existent Girlfriend

On Valentine’s Day
I stood from afar
Throwing rocks at your window…
I hit your car.

On our first date
Thinking I was able
I lit a candle…
And also the table.

At the school party
I move with romance
Disregarding the fact
That I really can’t dance.

I give you flowers.
You’re allergic to flowers.

In the delicate silence
Leaning in for a kiss
My cellphone goes off—
I’m not good at this.
