Sunday Video: Reverse

A premiere of a new song by Street Eaters.

The new song “Reverse,” by the Berkeley, California-based duo Street Eaters, is all about time and how you use it. Megan March, who is one half of the band (the other half is John No), based the song’s video on a cartoon she made one morning after drinking a shit-ton of coffee. “I woke up really early and just drew it out,” she says. You can see Street Eaters on tour this summer, and watch the video right here:

I really enjoyed the video– especially because it doesn’t have a very ‘modern’ feel to it. In particular that bit with the butterfly against the blue sky reminded me of the kind of footage that would be in an ancient biology VHS tape you’d watch when you had a substitute teacher.

Once in 9th grade we had to make a music video and mine sucked. Wish Rookie had existed then. Could have taught me a thing or two:)
