I’ve recently been researching the brutalist architecture in London, like in Thamesmead, where they filmed A Clockwork Orange and Misfits, Trellick Tower, Alexandra Road, and the Barbican Estate. The bleak, futuristic look of those places inspired me during this shoot. Thanks to Yukika and Yuki for modeling.

great。gorgeous。
I find it so inspiring, hopefully looking at this photos will help me writing my short stories — thank you a lot,I can`t properly express how much I adore this photoshoot。
I’m SO into “block-y” architecture like Le Corbusier and Bauhaus and the WW2 memorials in eastern europe! Their schools of architecture/ teaching methods were so ahead of their time and their buildings don’t look like anything else. Ugh these photos are so cool! Your so lucky to be near places like this.
I studied Art History, and Gropius’ Bauhaus Building was hands down one of my favorite architectures. Ahead of their time is right. It’s actually on my bucket list to visit it :)
Brutalist architecture is so under appreciated.
lovely! I love the brutalist architecture here in London, you should check out the Southbank Centre if you haven’t already, it’s an amazing arts/festival centre and the building is just so bleak and beautiful! x
4, 12 and 15 are my favourite…I love the grey, almost foreboding feel. like the winter-y days spent waiting for something to happen <3
amazing!! one of my fave rookie shoots so far.
this is so cool i love it!! this is one of my favorite photoshoots so far

I love #9, there’s something Wes Andersony about it
me and my friends orphee and rosalind shot some photos at the barbican last friday, it was all brutalist inspired too. i didn’t know the barbican was so big i thought it was just a concert hall and then it was all these like apartment blocks and huge towering buildings and gardens and fountains- i was just so amazed at all the symmetry and lines and it looked like a maze from a dream or something it was so weird and perplexing!!! i loved it so much eek these are great. also yukika <3333 i kept seeing her at all these events like gal and twentythirteen she's such a babbee ah
Ohmigosh. I love the girl with the black hair’s harie cut. I wanna get mine done just like it!
I want that skirt. Give it to me.
These are amazing!
the compositions, the styling, the color palette, the settings, the models… just the entire TONE of these photos is just stunning. so inspiring. gah.
Oh my goooood
Does anyone know where that white top is from (On the girl with purple hair)??????
It is Yukika’s own – I think she bought it at Bubbles Vintage Boutique in Tokyo!
Oh these are so perfect :)
They filmed a lot of Prime Suspect around this area too (ehk, I’m obsessed).
Also the girl with lilac hair OH MY GOSH… it’s so beautiful. I’ve been thinking about doing this to my hair for a while, and this has pushed me… imma buy me some bleach and purple dye tomorrow.
Love this especially #5 and #6
in love with these photos especially the tone of these photos <3
1!! 11!!! 15!!!
I love the geometry and lines in these pictures, reminds me of Henri Cartier-Bresson’s style! So beautiful.
AAH BRUTALIST ARCHITECTURE IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS! These photos are really lovely! x
Everything that I see of Rowley Way captured on film or in photos is beautiful. But having lived there for 13 years before moving from those same blocks that have been photographed, it certainly ain’t pretty.
oh my gosh, love it so much!!! really awesome work :)
These inspire me so much. You don’t find architecture like that where I’m from.
The architecture and photography of all these is so beautiful, especially #6, 7, 12, and 17~

the aftermath of a nuclear tragedy + (failed) oldlife revival attempts + grunge beach imagery = this shoot. lovely.
Ah man, I love this so much that I texted my friend straight after looking through these to beg him to go take photos with me there ahaha :’) I think also my love for Misfits influenced that. I love the clothes and the hair in these. I also really want to see A Clockwork Orange :)
These are so amazing and professional! Almost like film stills.
