Sunday Video: Rashida Jones (Is a Goddess)

“You’re the person who’s great enough to give that love,” and more FANTASTIC advice, live from Rookiefest 2013.

We threw a party with Urban Outfitters a few weeks ago at Space 15 Twenty in Los Angeles to celebrate Rookiefest 2013. We danced to the Julie Ruin, ate Clara Cakes, cleverly asked Bill Hader how he planned on getting home, and had the chance to catch up with one of our favorite candy chompers, Rashida Jones.

Even though she’s a busy actress, writer, and producer, she was nice enough to spend some time telling us about her own awkward teen years—and about how she wrote this completely amazing letter to Tupac. Rashida is definitely a Rookie at heart, and she has some pretty great advice about love. Check it out:

I loved Celeste and Jesse Forever. I don’t think I’ve seen many films with an (initially) unsympathetic female lead working through her own issues. Can’t wait to see her upcoming TV projects.

I’ve always wondered why Rookie works with a company with such deplorable morals such as Urban Outfitters….
