please tell me I’m not the only ignorant soul who googled oostvaardersplassen to see if it wasn’t just a figment of rookieland.

lovely winter work, especially the tongues and college of art hand holders shots.

I love Olivia’s travel diaries more than anything. While they are beautiful on their own, I think it would be great to have the name of each city or place underneath the picture? (I know they are in the caption but for each photo would be cool). I am just very curious as to what place in space they are from.
i love your work olivia. stay rad

This and all of Olivia Bee’s work reminds me of this Rimbaud quote:
“At first it was an experiment. I wrote silences, I wrote the night. I recorded the inexpressible. I fixed frenzies in their flight.”
She does what he says, but with photography.
wondrous :)

In my knowledge, shoes thrown over a telephone wire signal a drug dealer’s place, something that kind of adds a nice undertone to the first shot. lovely variety.

really i always thought it meant someone died there and so those were that persons shoes, lol not even sure where i learned that from. Either way both ideas add to the photos :)

I thought that if someone got bullied, the bully took their shoes… Maybe as a kind of way to mark their territory?

I love the second and the sixth photo so much. I can’t wait to explore and take photos, I’m tired of having the same dreary backdrop everywhere I look. I swear I have already photographed every inch of this place.

These are so beautiful! They made me feel like I’m not alone in my room on a Friday night for a second and like I’m on an adventure far far away instead.
