He totally did it, you guys. Please enjoy!

I mean, I knew Dave was the best when I saw his video for Ask a Grown Man, but this just SOLIDIFIES that initial reaction.
Also, since I am in fact seventeen, this may just be my official theme song.

am I allowed to make a possibly-lame unofficial music video for this? is that allowed? can I do that? because this is kind of totally brilliant.

  • Anaheed October 17th, 2012 12:27 AM

For those of you who asked for the lyrics, Dave just sent them:

meet me out back by the smoking section
we’ll plot and plan to throw the senior election
while sucking down shakes, eating double double burgers
we’ll sing our favorite songs from meat is murder

life, it can be kinda mean when you’re seventeen
life, it can be kinda mean when you’re seventeen

they kicked us out of cafeteria luncheon
whatever, like i care, that shit’s a social injunction
steal your mother’s car, do you think that she’ll miss it?
there’s nothing we can’t do in an 83 lincoln

friday night we’ll sneak on down to the basement
dust off the ouija board and crank up the Replacements
later on down by the railroad tracks
we’ll waiting for passing cars and feign a heart attack

life, it can be kinda mean when you’re seventeen
life, it can be kinda mean when you’re seventeen

the guidance counselor deemed me antisocial
so I formed a band with me on lead vocals
wrote our first song, it’s a hell of statement
our logo has no words it’s just a picture of satan

life, it can be kinda mean when you’re seventeen
life, it can be kinda mean when you’re seventeen
life, it can be kinda mean when you’re seventeen
life, it can be kinda mean when you’re seventeen

    This song is perfect!
I printed the lyrics and pasted it on my school agenda, so I can sing it all the time in my head while making math excercises.
