YES MY BIRTHDAY IS IN AUGUST! So excited for what you guys will have up. This month actually had some of my favorite backgrounds.
Quirks of Blazoning Pens
These backgrounds were so gorgeous this month! I love #11, 13, and all of those golden arches haha.
Lil Bow Wow is the best one, FOR SURE! I had such a crush, its ridiculous.
If Wionna Ryder came to my bedroom window late at night with two plane tickets demanding I run away with her to Tahiti, I would do it, I swear I would do it.
aw I didn’t even know one of my photos was a background photo for this month, thanks guys.
Now I’m having the hardest time on whether or not to have that photo of Lil Bow Wow as my new desktop screensaver hmm
I must have missed the post with your photos, but I’ve just looked back through them and they’re so gorgeous. Probably one of my favourite albums on Rookie, honestly.
You’re so talented.
beautiful images <3
omg its been a month already! wah!
Young Leo and Mc’D and all of it, love it!And love that shirt on first photo!
yay Todd Hido. I’m sure I saw Rollergirl on here the other day?
Rookie, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I can’t there are too many ways. Please marry me and/or come and party at my house.
Super irrelevant, but there’s, like, a limbo world between images 20 and 21. Just noticed.
I loved the last one, Adrian Tomine’s, and really could not stop looking at it. I thoroughly enjoy that graphic novel style outside of actual graphic novels.
picture 9: can I spot Kim Deal? <3
ugh rookie makes me so so happy.
i burn, i pine, i perish!
sweet and inspiring!
Because I know you Rookie writers recall all the backgrounds like true preservationists, I think you can help me track down a photo that you MIGHT have used. It’s in black and white, and it has a girl with her eyes closed and her mouth slightly open. I think it might be a still from a movie, because I saw a copy of that film magazine Godard wrote for and it was on the cover…..
