Here’s a look at what inspired me for this photo series. I plan all of my photo shoots out in (super-official-top-secret) scrapbook pages consisting of archive images, magazine cuttings, family photos, fabric cuttings, and drawings.
I often plan out every photo by sketching it first, in order to accurately transfer my ideas from my mind to the camera.
Georgie wears shirt by Topshop Unique, shorts by Topshop. Hairclips, scarf and shoes, Eleanor’s own. Donnika wears shirt by American Apparel, dress by Zara, shoes by Dr Martens. Scarf and beret ,Eleanor’s own. All girls wear M&S socks tie-dyed by Eleanor; and sashes, patches and buttons handmade by Mirren Kessling.
And here’s the execution! Thanks to Georgie, Donnika, and Hannah for modeling, and Mirren for making all the patches and buttons.
Hannah wears shirt by American Apparel, beret by H&M. Skirt and sailor scarf are vintage. Shoes are Hannah’s own.

Log in to replyon a side note, rookie has totally taken over my personal style! during teen witch month i think i wore a black maxi skirt with combat boots and purple lipstick like 4 or 5 days out of the week. lately i’ve been doing the leather jacket and cat-eye liner thing. at this rate i’ll be waking up tomorrow and putting on my old girl scout uniform…
Goodness! Rookie has some of the most original spreads. Major magazine pay for expensive sets and outfits and film, but you’ve proven all you need is a bit a creativity, free time, and good friends to do something awesome.
